A portion of all ticket sales from this benefit concert will go towards Salla Treatment and Research Foundation (S.T.A.R.).

Bassist John Patutucci has been at the forefront of the jazz world for the last 30 years. He is a four-time Grammy winner, who has worked with jazz giants such as Dizzy Gillespie, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Stan Getz, Wynton Marsalis, and countless others. Patitucci has also collaborated with pop artists from John Mayer and Alicia Keys to Bono and Sting. An active composer with 16 solo recordings, including 2019’s Soul of the Bass, he has been commissioned to write for various chamber music groups and has performed as a soloist with Chamber Symphony Orchestras.

Patitucci is also a music instructor who facilitates master classes around the world. Formerly the Artistic Director of The Bass Collective, a specialized school in New York, and a Professor of Music at The City College of New York, he is currently a Visiting Scholar at Berklee College of Music’s Global Jazz Institute and launched his interactive online bass school through ArtistWorks. Patitucci continues to tour with the Children of the Light Trio, the Chick Corea Akoustic Band, and his own groups in addition to being involved in a collaboration with the Harlem String Quartet.

ABOUT S.T.A.R.

The Salla Treatment and Research Foundation (“A STAR for Ben, Inc.”) is a 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to supporting and advancing Salla disease treatments, research, education, awareness, and family networks.

S.T.A.R. was established in 2018 by Ben Foglio’s parents, Jessica and Michael Foglio, to generate scientific and medical research of this rare disease.

The Foundation supports collaborative scientific research in order to accelerate the prospects for effective medical treatments for those affected with Salla.

The Salla Treatment and Research Foundation is driven by an unwavering belief that no disease is too rare to fight, and that with sufficient support, hope, and faith, a small team of committed researchers, families, supporters, and advocates can create meaningful solutions for those impacted by this disease.

There are 2 available parking garages at AMP, including a new one on Trade Street. Valet parking will also be available for a $5 fee. The Old Georgetown Road Garage, located at 11580 Old Georgetown Road, North Bethesda, MD 20852, is directly beneath AMP. The best way to enter the garage is by making a right turn directly into the garage from westbound Old Georgetown Road (between Grand Park Avenue and Executive Blvd). Follow the signs to the AMP elevator and go directly to level 4. The new Trade Street Garage is located at 11860 Trade Street, North Bethesda, MD 20852, right across from AMP and adjacent to the Per Sei apartments. Both are very convenient to the venue.
