Glen Echo Pottery Gallery is extending its holiday sale hours, opening on Black Friday, November 29, and on Friday, December 20, from noon to 5  p.m.,  in addition to Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.  The Gallery will also stay open on Saturday evening, December 14, until 7 p.m. as part of Glen Echo Park's celebration of Winter's Eve.  The Gallery shows the work of 29 advanced potters and instructors at Glen Echo Pottery.  All pieces are for sale and represent a variety of forms, glaze treatments, and firing effects.  Most pieces are functional -- cups, bowls, vases, etc.  Decorative works include jewelry, raku, and sculptural vessels, as well as holiday ornaments.

The Gallery will close for the season on December 22.  The Gallery will also be closed December 6-8 for the annual Holiday Sale at GW University's Mt. Vernon Campus.  Holiday Sale hours are December 6 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., December 7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and December 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale includes the work of Gallery members, as well as additional potters and instructors from Glen Echo Pottery.  Information on location/parking is available on our website.
