Hawaii-born Shimabukuro melds elements of pop and jazz into his passionate performances, emoting pure joy with virtuosic flair. In addition to his original compositions, Shimabukuro’s repertoire ranges from Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” to Schubert’s “Ave Maria.” He has collaborated with an impressive list of artists that includes Yo-Yo Ma, Bette Midler, Cyndi Lauper, Jack Johnson, Béla Fleck and The Flecktones, and Lyle Lovett. Acclaim and accolades have flooded in from around the world, with folks like Eddie Vedder saying “Jake is taking the instrument to a place that I can’t see anybody else catching up with.”

Parking in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro garage is $5.20 during the week and free on weekends. Strathmore is also accessible via Metro's Red Line, Grosvenor-Strathmore station.
Limited short-term parking also is available at specially marked meters along Tuckerman Lane, which do not require payment after 7pm.
