Internationally renowned Arab drumming and dance specialist — and 2019 Christmas Revels tradition bearer — Karim Nagiwill present ALIVE & DIVERSE, an uplifting, joyous, and participatory solo-performance concert for all ages! In this engaging program, Karim performs multiple drums, stomping and sticking folk dances, and melodic stories, invoking Arab culture with acrobatic rhythms and percussive movement for a modern setting. Come along for this cultural journey as Karim strums songs, enacts folkloric dances, and guides the audience through his tradition with explanations and anecdotes.
