Get constructive feedback on the first five minutes of a documentary film you are working on from an expert, or just observe.
The first five minutes of your documentary is crucial. Programmers and audiences are making make-or-break judgments about your film within that very limited timeframe, and you need to make the most of it. What does it take to grab your audience from the very beginning and keep them riveted? Are you effectively establishing the who what and where for what your documentary is about? What can you do to make sure you get and keep your audience until the very end?
Feedback Forums are meant to provide a safe space in which to share your work and receive constructive feedback from an expert in the field, as well as other like-minded peers. You may participate in this by sharing your own film (it can be complete, a clip, or a work in progress -- no trailers) and receiving feedback, or as an observer (someone who does not show a clip, but offers feedback).
For those seeking feedback on their work, please include a link to your work in the registration process here, or via email to the workshop leader at andrea@docsinprogress.org
