Join your neighbors as they share personal immigration stories, inspired by An American Story: Jewish & Muslim Perspectives, an exhibit by members of Jews and Muslims Making Art Together (JAMMART). JAMMART believes America’s founding ideals have been lost, and hope that by sharing stories of immigration, community members will re-embrace ideals of freedom, justice, and equality. Guest speakers will share their perspectives on immigration, including a presentation by Sabir Rahman, curator of the exhibit, who will share his moving story of emigrating from Pakistan. Their modern American dreams illustrate the fears, hopes, and successes of immigrants, and the love, friendship, and faith that grows when sharing these experiences with others.
