Lines and Spaces: Terrain and Movement on the Page
With Elizabeth Lindsey Rogers
Thu, May 21, 7pm
This workshop will consider how to use the field of the page, including lineation and blank space, to affect the content and emotion of our poems.

Elizabeth Lindsey Rogers is the author of two poetry collections: The Tilt Torn Away from the Seasons (Acre Books—Cincinnati Review, 2020), a Rumpus Book Club pick, and Chord Box (University of Arkansas Press, 2013), a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award. Poems appear in Boston Review, The Missouri Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, FIELD, Crazyhorse, Shenandoah, Bennington Review, and elsewhere. Her creative nonfiction can be found in Best American Nonrequired Reading, Best American Travel Writing, The Missouri Review, Prairie Schooner, The Rumpus, and other journals. A former Kenyon Review Fellow, she has taught at a number of colleges and universities, most recently Hendrix College, where she was the Murphy Visiting Fellow in English. She lives in Washington, DC with her wife and son.
