For more than a century, painters have used photography to assist them in painting the landscape. In this 6-week class, students will use photographs as reference material in creating a landscape painting(s). Emphasis will be places on interpreting and enhancing the image while creating vibrant, lively effects.
This class is designed for students who have some painting experience. Students may work in either oils or acrylics.
Each online class will start with a 30-45 minute lecture and demonstration of some principle or technique of drawing and painting. Topics of discussion will include how to start a painting, color theory, perspective, and how to use various materials.
