Fundamentals of Storytelling

Presented by BlackRock Center for the Arts at Online/Virtual Space

The Fundamentals of Storytelling is designed to inspire young writers to tell their stories with a deep dive into mastering into the basics. Each week will explore one of the 4 fundamentals of story structure: Character, Plot, Setting, and Theme. Students will be challenged to use their imagination, work as a group, complete writing prompts, and provide necessary feedback on their classmate’s ideas. The collaborative group will take time to celebrate and share one another's creative works. This class is for third through fifth grade students. Classes will be held through Video Conferencing with Ms. Morenike Rossman.
