The Gandhi Memorial Center in collaboration with Iteeha brings you this Gond Painting online art workshop. Gond is a decorative art form, practiced by the Gondi people of Madhya Pradesh, India. Gond art evolved from tradition of ritual storytelling. It gives you a chance to learn to paint and beautify your homes with a combination of painting with fabric and create your own art. This first offering will be Black and White Gond Painting. Later we may offer Gond Painting Colored Composition. No prior experience required. This series will offer new topics in future weeks and months a head, including Calligraphy, Silk Painting, Pattachitra, Madhubani Art, Shibori, Kalamkari, Gond, Warli and others. Explore your creativity and learn more about a diverse cultural heritage with these workshops. You get to create your very own masterpiece"! The one-day and two-day workshops are conducted by talented artisans who work closely with you to offer tips & tricks, as well as share their stories. The classes will be conducted over Zoom.
