The Yellow Barn Studio is a great place to take art classes. Join us at The Yellow Barn Studio, a creative oasis in Glen Echo Park, where community and artistic guidance converge in our nationally-recognized artists’ programs. Founded by acclaimed artist Walter Bartman, The Yellow Barn Studio is a haven for budding artists and experienced painters alike. We offer classes in watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing, and printmaking, with a special emphasis on guaranteeing that our students get the best possible education. We have classes for all levels of students.
Students who would like to take classes at the Yellow Barn Studio can now work with their instructors online. Continue working with your favorite teacher or take a class you’ve always wanted to try it will now be online. Students who are challenged, don’t worry, we will have support staff available to help you learn to use our user-friendly platform on your computer.
We guarantee that you will be satisfied or we will give you a refund. Students who live out of the area can now study with our distinguished faculty.
Our online virtual classes are now up and running. We have over Sixty classes and workshops for you to choose from. Students have been taking classes at the Yellow Barn Studio for twenty-five years. They love the atmosphere and camaraderie engendered by the excellent teachers. So many amazing teachers! It is hard to overstate how talented they are and how enthusiastic they are about teaching. It is wonderful to see our students strive toward reaching a high level of expertise as artists while still having some fun.

Glen Echo Park is located at 7300 MacArthur Blvd, Glen Echo, MD, 20812 (this is the intersection of Goldsboro Rd and MacArthur Blvd).
From Northern Virginia, take Route 495 to the exit for the Clara Barton Parkway toward Washington, DC. Take the Exit for Glen Echo. Left at the stop sign on MacArthur Blvd. and left into Glen Echo Park. The Yellow Barn is next to the stone tower.
From Rockville, take 270 South to 495 south toward Northern Virginia. Take the exit for Glen Echo and the Clara Barton Parkway. Exit at Glen Echo and proceed to the stop sign on MacArthur Blvd. Take a left into Glen Echo Park.
From Silver Spring, take East West Highway to Bethesda, turn onto Old Georgetown Road then take a left on Wilson Lane. Follow Wilson Lane for a few miles to MacArthur Blvd. Turn Left onto MacArthur Blvd, then turn right into Glen Echo Park's free parking lot.
Using Public Transportation, take Montgomery County Ride-On bus #29 operating daily from the Friendship Heights metro station on the Red Line.
