Author and journalist Beth Macy will take part in an online discussion of her “New York Times” bestselling book, “Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors and the Drug Company that Addicted America.”

The virtual book talk, to be held 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, is one of a series of events to mark September’s National Recovery Month, and part of the Rockville Goes Purple campaign to shine a spotlight on, and educate the community about, the epidemic.
