Ideal for middle and high school students. Study a different composer/lyricist each class, learning about their history as well as their unique creative style.
Students will look at the breadth and depth of one creative team each week to learn their musical aesthetic and understand how their work changed over the decades.
In a mix of lecture-style and online coaching with student performances of individual songs, this workshop introduces students to a wide range of musical styles, voices, and repertoire.
Students who wish to sing during one of the workshop weeks, must submit a video of them singing their selected song to Kristina Friedgen at kristina@yaa.org no later than 1 week before the scheduled class.
