What can YOUR family design to make your home more sustainable?
Participate in the Go Green Design Challenge, a free, weekend, virtual, family design challenge brought to you by KID Museum and Pepco.
Use common household materials to come up with a prototype of an environmental-friendly invention that would make your home more sustainable. Your idea might involve the creative re-design of an existing item, like a more efficient window or appliance, or something entirely new.
Join us Saturday morning, October 24 beginning at 10:00am for the virtual kick-off, where you’ll receive a rundown of the challenge guidelines, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the Pepco WaterShed Sustainability Center. Then put your imagination and your design skills to work!
--Not sure where to get started? Our maker educators will share a few, basic skill-building videos to help you out.
--Spend as much time as you like designing your invention
--Submitted inventions will be featured in a virtual Design Showcase
--All official entries will also be automatically entered into a prize raffle
Participation is free.
