Vintage films about futuristic kitchens, a cigarette-smoking robot, the “home of the future,” and much more!
Vintage Movie Night host Richard Hall opens the archival vaults to take us back to the future with educational and industrial short films from the 1930s to 1960s which tried to predict the future with hilarious results. Revisit how we used to think about "the world of tomorrow" in a 1967 vision of the "home of the future," a cigarette-smoking robot at the 1939 New York World's Fair, some very weird ideas about futuristic kitchens, and much more. This cinematic journey offers a humorous, eye-opening, and sometimes cringe-worthy window into social attitudes from the past. Watch the Youtube premiere at 8 pm on Nov. 12 at https://youtu.be/x7wn6Hj6N4Q
