Please join us on Saturday, November 14th EST from 12:45pm-3:15pm for Building Racial Equity in the Dance World(s), facilitated by Rajeeyah Finnie-Myers, an Affiliate Trainer within Narrative Arts and Culture (NAC) at Race Forward.
Continue the conversation with us on dismantling racism within the dance world(s) and reimagining a more inclusive dance education where BIPOC students’ needs are met and all dancers are able to flourish. This is the first session of a monthly series, free of charge, led by various facilitators from organizations who have proven backgrounds in facilitating racial justice trainings, including but not limited to Race Forward (www.raceforward.org), Alternate ROOTS Members (www.alternateroots.org), and The People’s Institute For Survival and Beyond (https://www.pisab.org/).
Presented by ClancyWorks Dance Company, this specific workshop will be part of Maryland Dance Education Association’s Grateful for Dance Week (www.mddanceed.org/danceweek), and is free of charge to all participants.
