From Asheville, NC, the Steep Canyon Rangers are a Grammy Award-winning acoustic Bluegrass group that has a stellar reputation for performing original songs and arrangements that hold on to the essence of what makes bluegrass viable while subtly reinventing it with their own unique sound. Their original, freewheeling high energy approach to bluegrass has garnered them international acclaim and multiple awards, including IBMA’s Entertainer of the Year Award in 2011 and a GRAMMY for best Bluegrass Album in 2013. The band logs in more than 50 dates a year, often touring with comedian/banjoist Steve Martin.
