Maple Sugaring Days at Brookside Nature Center is a fun, learn-as-you-go outdoor tour about the process of making maple syrup and the science and natural science around it.
Enjoy the self-guided interpretive Maple trail walk during the month of February. Make sure to dress for the weather and wear your boots– don’t forget that Sugaring Season is also known as Mud Season! The Maple trail walk is free and open from dawn to dusk. Start the Maple trail walk at our 1400 Glenallan Avenue parking lot location – just look for the sugar maple leaf signs.
In addition to our self-guided Maple outdoor exhibit:
- Visit the Harper Homestead and see our wood-burning sap evaporator
- Purchase a bottle of syrup or delicious maple sugar treats on Nature Center deck
Staff on site during February on Saturdays 11 am – 2:30 pm and Sundays 1 – 4 pm
Self-guided Maple trail walk is free.
