Join us for a live-streamed virtual artist reception this Sunday, February 7 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. on the Arts on the Green Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ArtsontheGreen). During the reception, images from the Art League of Germantown exhibit currently on display at Kentlands Mansion and the Arts Barn will be shared and several artists will discuss their work. The City of Gaithersburg is pleased to present the 8th annual invitational multimedia exhibition of artwork from the members of the Art League of Germantown (ALOG). The exhibit will be on display from January 22 through March 28, 2021 at both the Kentlands Mansion and Arts Barn. The galleries are located at 311 and 320 Kent Square Road, with viewing by appointment only. ALOG was founded in 1983 to further the careers of fine artists and crafters and to bring an appreciation of these arts and education to the community. It provides members with the stimulation to thrive in their personal art goals and encourages enthusiastic support and appreciation for art. To learn more the league, visit alog.org. Twenty-three artists are participating in this year’s exhibit, showing seventy-eight of their pieces across the two City galleries. Unusual to this annual exhibit is that is being featured in two galleries, allowing for a larger collection, and that a small number of three-dimensional pieces were included in what has been traditionally a two-dimensional exhibit. The exhibit was curated by Jaree Donnelly, the City’s Acting Gallery Coordinator.
