Victoria Vox & Unified Jazz Ensemble

Victoria Vox & Unified Jazz Ensemble

Presented by BlackRock Center for the Arts at BlackRock Center for the Arts

Singer/songwriter Victoria Vox, widely renowned for her work on the ukulele, joins the Unified Jazz Ensemble for an evening of jazz standards and original compositions. The Unified Jazz Ensemble (UJE), based in Annapolis, Maryland, is dedicated to bringing the best of jazz to audiences of all ages. The group was founded in 1992, and has performed across the United States and internationally. Inspired by Cyndi Lauper, Patti Griffin, and The Cranberries, Ms. Vox has performed all over the globe for the last ten years. Her endearing vocals and seemingly simple, but rather smart songs have been played on NPR, featured on A&E television shows, won her first place at the International Acoustic Music Awards, six Wammie awards, the "Vox Pop" award for Adult Contemporary Album of the Year in the 10th Annual Independent Music Awards and landed her a segment on the Jay Leno Show.
