Arts on the Green will host an Open Mic community event, in-person and live streamed simultaneously, from the Arts Barn Alley on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 7 p.m. We are soliciting performing artists of all ages and disciplines to participate and to submit an online video audition.

The deadline for submissions is Fri., June 4 at 5 p.m.

AOTG seeks acts that showcase the performing arts including dance, music, opera, theatre and musical theatre, stand-up comedy, magic, illusion, mime, spoken word, puppetry, circus arts, and performance art. Applications are not limited geographically and open to all. The performance is recommended for ages 10 and up.

All entries will be reviewed, and all entrants will receive a notification as to their acceptance status no later than June 7 at 5pm. Successful artists will be allowed a performance slot of 10 minutes or less. There will be no rehearsal and the Open Mic event itself will be presented before a live audience, as well as live-streamed via Vimeo. The event is FREE to the public, but donations to The Gaithersburg Parks, Arts and Recreation Corporation (G-PARC) Parks Alliance will be gratefully accepted. Artists will receive no fee for their performance. The link to Vimeo will be available after June 7, 2021.

AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS: Please use the highest quality recording equipment available to you. For best results, place your recording device on a stationary object, such as a tripod or table. Prior to recording, test that you are in focus and well lit, and that your video is free from distracting background noise. **Note: Deadline for video audition is 5 p.m., June 4, 2021.**

* Your full name
* What you are performing

Performance & Submission Requirements:
Video Length: Please limit your audition to 2-3 minutes. When you are finished with your audition performance, please announce that you have reached the end of the submission, restate your name, and stop your recording device.

To complete your submission:
In addition to your video submission, please submit an audition form (email marc.wright@gaithersburgmd.gov for a form). Fill out the form, and upload it to DropBox with your video audition. Once you have uploaded your video, you will be prompted to add more files. If you like, you may also attach a resume and head shot at that time.
