We all know Mozart, but do you know Chevalier de Saint-Georges, called the 'Black Mozart'? Did you know Beethoven dedicated a sonata to the black composer and violinist George Bridgetower? Guided by the celebrated DC-native composer, Jeffrey Mumford, we will hear and view performances from the varied, captivating, and rich legacies of black composers.

Online (Live and Interactive) – This class takes place via Zoom, and the link to participate will be provided to registered students only prior to the first class.

Ages 18 - adult

Tuition: $91 plus the $15 Glen Echo Park registration fee.
