Ride the Street Cars and visit with Santa
The National Capital Trolley Museum is proud to announce the return of the famous Holly TrolleyFest. The TrolleyFest will be held on Saturdays, December 4, 11 and 18, and Sunday, December 19 from 12 Noon to 5 p.m. Ride the Street Cars and visit with Santa as well as take in the model railroad display. This year additional model trains provided by the Washington, Virginia, & Maryland Garden Railway Society will be on display. A fun time for the whole family!
Reservations are required. Purchase tickets at www.dctrolley.org. Ticketed admissions will be every 30 minutes from 12 Noon through 4 p.m. All COVID guidelines will be followed and capacity will be limited.

As part of our post-COVID reopening plan, we have implemented a timed entry system to provide all visitors (including Family & Friends pass holders and Groupon customers) the opportunity to register for a specific admission timeslot. For our December 2021 Holly TrolleyFest season, the museum hours will be Saturdays Dec. 4, 11 and 18, and Sunday Dec. 19, from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. ADMISSION WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE EVERY HALF HOUR FROM 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
Reservations are required – walk ups may not be accommodated due to capacity restrictions. Please note that we are not currently accepting cash for gift shop merchandise sales.
ALL VISITORS WITH A FAMILY & FRIENDS PASS, ADMISSION PASS OR GROUPON: You MUST reserve your timeslot ahead of your visit through our timed-ticketing system (as with on-site ticket sales, all pass/Groupon holders, without a reservation made through eTix, will ONLY be admitted if space is available.) Once you select a date and time, select the “ANY Pass (Family & Friends, Groupon, etc.)” ticket option – from the drop-down menu, choose the exact number of visitors in your party over age two. Please bring your pass(s) or Groupon to the museum at the time of your visit for verification.
NCTM & BSM MEMBERS: At this time members may not reserve tickets online; admission for members will be walk-up only and on a space availability basis. *Family & Friends passes are NOT the same as a membership – please see the instructions above if you hold a Family & Friends pass.
