Silver Screen Series: The Black Press: Soldiers without Swords (Live Q&A)

Presented by Docs In Progress at Online/Virtual Space

Join us on Monday, January 17th at 8:30 PM ET for a live Q&A moderated by Sam Hampton, PhD, a co-founder of Docs in Progress, a documentary filmmaker and nonprofit professional now based in Seattle, WA. The live discussion will be via Zoom, and registrants will receive the link upon registration.
Our January free screening is the film The Black Press: Soldiers without Swords, which is an engaging historical account that tells the story of the pioneering men and women of the Black press who gave voice to Black America. Soldiers without Swords is the first documentary to provide an in-depth examination of the history and contributions of African American newspapers. Since the early 1800’s Black newspapers have existed in almost every major city in the U.S. Registrants will receive the link to the film and have the ability to watch the film at their convenience on Eventive between January 13 and January 18.
