Developing Your Podcast Idea

Developing Your Podcast Idea

Presented by Montgomery County Media at Online/Virtual Space

Class Description: Developing a quality podcast requires planning and an understanding of industry standards. Every podcast starts from an idea. But the success of the podcast is dependent on how well the idea is developed.

In this course, you will learn how to develop a podcast from concept to production outline. In order to develop your podcast for success and longevity you will plan based on the type of podcast you want to produce, the type of host set-up you want to use, and the many streaming options available to you.

This course is great for those who are:

Currently interested in creating content for personal and professional use and not sure how to develop a concept;
Interested in learning more about the three phases of media production and how to develop a treatment;
Rethinking a concept previously produced for a podcast and seeking guidance on building the concept further.

*This course is required for the MCM Podcast Core certification track for MCM Members who are seeking certification in order to use MCM podcast studios to produce their podcasts.
