Carpe Diem! Family Fun Night with The Grandsons Jr!

Carpe Diem! Family Fun Night with The Grandsons Jr!

Presented by Carpe Diem Arts at El Golfo Restaurant

Celebrate the Joy of Springtime and the return to live music at El Golfo! Join us on Thursday April 7, 6:00-7:00pm (outdoor seating begins at 5:30pm) -- for great food & drink and entertainment that the whole family can enjoy together in an outdoor setting. A great Americana mix of rock and swing, New Orleans R&B, country, and Latin music, The Grandsons Jr. pretty much guarantee a whale of a good time – as anyone will attest who has been to their shows in the past.

Hosted by the marvelous Munit & z Lovebugs!
Presented by Carpe Diem Arts in partnership with Takoma Children's School.
For added safety, masks are still required when not eating or drinking, for ages 2 and older.

Suggested donation $5-10 for adults. Free for children. 15% of food & drink sales will benefit arts outreach to early learning centers.

NOTE: The Spring series (1st Thursdays April/May/June) are planned for outdoors at El Golfo--but if weather requires, we will be indoors with masks when not eating/drinking. The forecast is for cold and stormy weather on April 7---so we are assuming we will be indoors.

Carpe Diem's Family Fun Night is part of a larger outreach initiative titled "Jump Start with the Arts" -- an early childhood arts enrichment program. The goal is to provide a jump-start to healthy and joyful social and cognitive development in the early stages of learning and to provide young children with memorable, educational, developmentally appropriate, and culturally diverse experiences through the Arts.

Made possible in part by the generosity of our individual donors, and by the Finn Family Group, El Golfo Restaurant, and our media sponsor Takoma Radio, as well as with general operating support from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County and the Maryland State Arts Council.

With special thanks to Takoma Children's School, Silver Spring Nursery School, and Silver Spring Day School communities for co-presenting our Spring series with us!
