Voix de Femmes invites you to celebrate the freedom, beauty, and amazing song of birds through the playful works and contagious rhythms of (mostly) women composers.
Birds have captured the imaginations of poets and writers for centuries: we envy their freedom, their beauty, their amazing songs, as well as their endurance. In his poem, Victor Hugo encourages us to ‘Be like the bird that, pausing in her flight awhile on boughs too slight feels them give way beneath her, and sings knowing she hath wings.’
Voix de Femmes invites you to enjoy these feathered friends and their companions through the playful works and contagious rhythms of (mostly) women composers such as Gwyneth Walker, Sarah Quartel, Cecilia McDowall, Emma Lou Diemer, and Eleanor Daley.

There will be a few changes to the Living Arts Concert Series to ensure that those who come are safe. Masks requirements will follow Montgomery County's current recommendations. Our concerts are held indoors, in a spacious venue where spacing is easily achieved.
