Join the Musica Viva Kentlands orchestra under the baton of Maestra Simeone Tartaglione for an evening of classical music.
Music Viva Kentlands is returning to the Kentlands on September 17 on the Kentlands Clubhouse lawn.
This year’s concert will include a variety of music choices from the classical world. The first half of the concert is a performance of to Dvorak’s “New World Symphony”, a piece intimately tied to American musical traditions. The second half will feature performances of “Blue Danube” (Johan Strauss), “Ohne Sorgen” (Joseph Strauss), Bizet’s “Carmen” Suites No. 1 and 2, and a complex Paganini piece with an intensive violin solo by Ms. Alessandra Cuffaro.
To accommodate these music choices, Musica Viva has organized its largest ensemble of professional musicians to date, a forty-piece orchestra. Each year, the orchestra is hand-crafted by Mr. Tartaglione to best fit the needs of that performance. This year percussion, string, wind, woodwind, and-- most importantly--you will all come together for this delightful display of musical talent.
