The 51st Annual Labor Day Art Show at Glen Echo Park will be held in the historic Spanish Ballroom from Saturday, September 3 through Monday, September 5, 2022 from 12pm to 6pm.

Presented by the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture, the exhibition and sale — one of the largest art shows in the area — runs from 12 pm to 6 pm each day. Admission is free. The exhibition features the work of more than 200 artists from the mid-Atlantic region. The show includes works in a wide range of artistic media, including:

2022 Labor Day Art Show Awards
Glen Echo Park Partnership is proud to present the Labor Day Art Show Awards Program. Cash prizes of $250 each will be awarded for top works in the 2D and 3D categories. In addition, the Park View Artist Award 2022 will include the opportunity for a solo art exhibition for our selected winner in our Park View Gallery in 2023. All participants qualify to be considered. The award selection is subject to the judges’ discretion.

Juror: Zoma Wallace
Zoma Wallace is an independent curator, published art writer, and artist from Washington, DC. She served the District of Columbia’s municipal government as its first official curator for nine years while on staff at the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. While there, she contemporized the city-owned collection of fine art, began a robust practice of producing city-funded exhibitions for the specific benefit of District residents, and developed a new grant program to support emerging curators with funding and gallery space to realize compelling ideas. At the close of 2018, she decided to work independently in order to more effectively collaborate with artists to produce transformative and visionary projects. Since then, Zoma has served as President of the Black Artists of DC in 2021 and is an adjunct professor of African American Art History at the University of the District of Columbia. Zoma is an alumna of Spelman College, holds a Master of Fine Arts in painting from Howard University, and is a Ph.D. candidate in Art Theory & Philosophy at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts (IDSVA).
