MUSSORGSKY Pictures at an Exhibition

Ravel’s suave sense of orchestral color brings classic fairy tale characters bounding to life, and his arrangement of Mussorgsky’s spirited art walk illuminates every nuance of those searing images. Two young Britons known for their boundary-breaking collaborations lead a romp through highlights of the fanciful opera by their compatriot Oliver Knussen.

This performance will also occur on Sat., Oct 22 at 8 pm at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore, Md.
