Caring for Your Creative Self

Caring for Your Creative Self

Presented by Riverworks Art Center at Alden Farms

Join Marie Sheppard for this workshop to explore mindfulness as a tool to build your capacity to heal and trust yourself in ways that allow your creativity to flow.

This half day workshop is designed for people who create, or want to create, be it professionally, personally or in their mind’s eye… We will gather in a small, supportive group, experiment with three mind-body awareness tools and identify those that resonate for each of us.  We’ll also explore how we can weave these tools into our busy lives.

Over time, practicing with awareness tools can help you build capacity to heal and trust yourself in ways that can allow your creativity to flow. As we become more aware and accepting of our whole selves, it becomes easier to access and express our creativity. The process of expressing our creativity can help us to heal ourselves, and work created from these deep places often has the capacity to resonate with/move others, thereby widening the healing circle.

There will be pot-luck style lunch, so bring a healthy side dish to share.
