Led by artist Shanthi Chandrasekar, learn the basic shapes that make up a kolam, create your own patterns, and discover how this tradition combines creativity, science, and problem solving.

The WondeRoom is a dedicated space for innovative, family-friendly cultural heritage activities. Two Sundays a month, the WondeRoom will have one community-led day, in partnership with the 4-H Lucky Clovers Club, and one class led by a local teaching artist. Featured teaching artists will share an art form from the rich cultural traditions of Montgomery County.
WondeRoom activities are made by and for all people, inclusive of race, culture, citizenship, community, religion, or gender. WondeRoom activities are designed for intergenerational collaboration. Children (designed for ages 4-9) and their accompanying grown-ups work together. Explore and learn about the vibrant and fun traditions of the region!
