Author Meet & Book Signing Event for “Akata: The Saga of an American Girl Finding Her Roots”

Continuing support throughout the lives of creatives in Montgomery County, AOB will host a meet and greet, reading, and book signing event with the author on March 25th at 6pm in downtown Silver Spring- 900 Wayne Avenue, Suite 1A.

"Akata: The Saga of an American Girl Finding Her Roots" is a captivating novel that follows the story of a young girl who embarks on a journey of self-discovery and identity. Set against the backdrop of contemporary America, the memoir explores themes of family, culture, and finding one's place in the world. Victoria is a talented writer and artist, excited to share her debut novel with the local community. As an alumni for Arts on the Block, she is committed to supporting the arts and inspiring the next generation of artists and writers.

About the Author: Victoria H. Carlos is a writer, poet, speaker, and educator. She is the owner of Osisi & Co., a small business where she sells and makes handmade African print baby bibs.. She is a wife and a proud mom of two boys. You can find her creations and her book on Osisiandco.com.
