You can make a whole documentary, or big parts of one, by yourself! All the tools that you need can fit inside a backpack and a sling bag, without breaking the bank. This one-day seminar is a hands-on opportunity to see the latest portable cinema cameras, light kits, audio gear, rigging and related accessories that you'll need to create content that meets the highest standards in filmmaking. The instructor will walk with you through making tough choices and avoiding big mistakes, by powering-up a sample kit that everyone can try out during the session. It's equally an opportunity to learn about camera, audio, and lighting fundamentals hands-on using the latest portable gear from Sony, Blackmagic, Samsung, Aperture, Zoom and much more. Participants are optionally encouraged to bring their own gear for evaluation and finding the right fit.

Our entrance is on Apple Ave. around the corner from Alexander House.
The Cameron Street garage is open 24/7 and requires payment between 7 am - 7 pm on weekdays ($1 per hour for the first four hours and 65 cents per hour for each additional hour). Parking in the garage is free on weekends, federal holidays, and after 7 pm on weekdays. You must remember your space number and pay at one of the pay stations with cash, credit card, or the ParkMobile or MobileNow apps.
You can also sometimes find nearby metered street parking as well. While street spaces are usually free after 6 pm, they do require payment during the daytime Mondays-Saturdays and most are limited to one or two hours. Meters accept coins or the Parkmobile and MobileNow apps.
Do NOT park (or even stand) in any spots marked for police only.
