History of Play

Presented by Montgomery Parks at Josiah Henson Park

Join us for special family-friendly event, History of Play, at Josiah Henson Museum and Park on May 20.

Play is often considered the “work of children”. Join us for a day of play, learn how enslaved children, indigenous children, and children of the Holocaust incorporated play in their lives during historic times of hardship. There will be games and hands-on activities for the entire family throughout the day.   This is a family program and is free, with paid admission to the museum. Admission, $4 for children and seniors, and $5 for adults. Tickets available onsite.
