"Drawn to D.C."

“Drawn to D.C.,” Leila Cabib’s pen-and-ink and watercolor sketches of 19th-century residential architecture in various Washington, D.C. neighborhoods, will be on view at the Connie Morella Library, 7400 Arlington Rd. in Bethesda, Maryland from June 1-30. Leila, a professional cartoonist, illustrator and teaching artist, creates her drawings completely on site.

Her exhibit includes sketches of the Logan Circle, Dupont Circle, Capitol Hill, Georgetown and Adams Morgan neighborhoods, as well as two extensive accordion sketchbooks, one focusing on doors and windows and the other on roofs around Washington, D.C.

The Connie Morella Library is open Monday-Thursday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Friday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM. It is within walking distance of the Bethesda Metro station and on Ride On bus route 36. Ample metered parking is available.
