Brookeville U.S. Capital for a Day Celebration

Presented by Heritage Montgomery at Town of Brookevile

Two hundred years ago, during the War of 1812, the British lay siege to Washington, setting fire to the nation's capital. As residents fled the city, President James Madison took refuge in Brookeville on August 26, 1814.
