Introduction to Digital Photography will teach you the basics needed to take the photographs you want! Bring your Digital-SLR camera and learn with hands-on instruction.

You'll learn basic camera functions, composition, depth of field, exposure, avoiding common mistakes, the use of available light and much more.

This workshop consists of 4 three-hour sessions. During the third session, your class will meet for a field trip to photograph the National Gallery of Art, Union Station or other Metro-accessible Washington, DC landmark. Field trips for weeknight classes will meet on a Saturday morning for their third session. You'll finish this workshop with a better understanding of your camera, how to compose images and more confidently take the photographs you envision.
