Jazz piano virtuoso
Emmet Cohen, an American pianist and composer, is one of his generation's pivotal figures in music. Leader of the Emmet Cohen Trio, he is an internationally acclaimed jazz artist, a dedicated educator, and the winner of the 2019 American Pianists Awards.
A regular headliner at Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Village Vanguard, and Birdland, Cohen has showcased his talents at various prominent jazz festivals, such as Newport, Monterey, and North Sea. He has also entertained audiences around the world, with performances in over 30 countries. Cohen has released more than 10 albums as leader and collaborated with a host of legendary jazz musicians, including Ron Carter, Benny Golson, Jimmy Cobb, George Coleman, Jimmy Heath, Tootie Heath, Houston Person, Christian McBride, and Kurt Elling.
