The Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture presents a full schedule of exciting activities over Labor Day weekend (Aug 29 – Sep 1).

The 44th Annual Labor Day Art Show at Glen Echo Park will be held in the historic Spanish Ballroom from Saturday, August 30 through Monday, September 1, 2014 from 12 pm - 6 pm each day.

Sponsored by the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture, the exhibition and sale runs from 12 pm to 6 pm each day. Admission is free. The exhibition features the work of more than 250 artists from the mid-Atlantic region. The show includes works in a wide range of artistic media, including:

• sculpture
• painting and drawing
• ceramics
• glass
• jewelry
• fiber arts
• photography
• furniture
• works on paper

A Public Opening Reception will be held Friday, August 29, from 7:30 pm to 9 pm

Come to Glen Echo Park during the Labor Day Weekend to enjoy three days of Irish music and dance performances as part of our annual Irish Music & Dance Showcase. The showcase features a wide variety of the area's finest performers. The performances are held in the Bumper Car Pavilion and scheduled from 1:00 - 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 30 through Monday, September 1. In addition to the many performances, audiences will also have an opportunity to join a Ceili dance on Monday, September 1 at 4:00 pm hosted by the Greater Washington Ceili Club.
