In this workshop, students will learn how to assemble panels to construct a beautiful wooden box, and how to screen print your designs onto the wood. This is an opportunity to gain skills in both screen printing and box fabrication. We will meet for 2 sessions to give enough time to consider the 3-D object and to prepare multiple screens for printing. In the first session, you will learn about joinery, how to prepare a saw and jig, and expose screens for printing. In the second session, students will screen print onto pre-cut plywood panels, and assemble the finished product in the dimensions of 8” x 12” x 4”. Previous screen print experience is encouraged, but no woodworking skills are required.
