Joseph Haydn’s early keyboard works written for harpsichord are filled with joy, humor, and effervescence. Sparkling works by Haydn’s contemporaries: Anna Bon, Marie-Emmanuelle Bayon, and Joseph Bologne will also be on the program.
A gorgeous evening of early-Classical keyboard music performed by renowned harpsichordist Byron Schenkman. Byron's exceptional ability to share the joy, humor and effervescence in Haydn's works will make this concert a pure delight! As will the other sparkling pieces on the program by Haydn's contemporaries: Anna Bon, Marie-Emmanuelle Bayon, and Joseph Bologne. Each wrote lovely, cheerful music, offering the perfect tonic for our times. You'll leave this concert with a smile on your face and a spring in your step!
