Made possible by a grant from the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County, Franklyn Johnson-Williams (in collaboration with Carpe Diem Arts) will facilitate a Djembe Drum Circle at Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, from April 10 to June 12 (10 weeks).

Some of the benefits of drumming include: releases emotional trauma; increases self-confidence; encourages teamwork, creativity and self-expression; enhances social skills; fosters a sense of belonging; reduces anger and rage; inspires fun, laughter and positive energy.

Free and Open to All. No music background required. Drums will be provided.
