Join us in celebrating 20 years of sharing the inspiring music of the Far East and diverse music of the West as our five choirs—Prima, Dolce, Cantabile, Concert and Chamber—and returning alumni and great collaborations with renowned artists and choral organizations performing a rich program of different cultures, languages and music styles appealing to audiences of all ages. The program features the Local premiere of Kuàilè de Jùhuì (Happy Reunion) by Taiwanese composer & Glorystar's mentor, Chuang-Shien Lu (1916-2008). This composition is based on the ancient tune of the Thao Tribe in South Central Taiwan. The program's repertoire is varied in style and composers: from Mozart - Un moto di gioia, Verdi - Va Pensiero, and Puccini - O Mio Babbino Caro; to Fauré - Cantique de Jean Racine, Piazzolla - Libertango, Caldwell - I am so Glad, and Tesori - Thoroughly Modern Millie.
The audience is invited to sing-along the Chinese Yángguāng hé xiǎoyǔ (Sunshine and Rain), and Pinyin phonetics will be provided for pronunciation.
