This workshop is intended for anyone looking to sharpen his or her playwriting skills in a workshop setting where we will review the basic elements of playwriting in the context of writing and reading plays. We will use exercises to jump-start the imagination, consider various approaches to playwriting and the writing process, and define a feedback method designed to facilitate continued discovery through writing. In addition we will begin to consider some of the structural implications in writing for the stage. It is assumed those taking this workshop will have taken an introductory workshop in playwriting or will have had some experience writing plays.
