The 34th Annual Celebrate! Gaithersburg Festival will draw an entire community to Gaithersburg’s historic city center. The one-day event is scheduled for Sunday, June 12, 2016, from noon to 5 p.m., and will include multiple stages of live entertainment, food, and themed activity areas for all ages and interests.

Hop in your time machine and take a trip to another era. This year’s Mainstage features bands that take you back in time to enjoy tunes from the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. Which decade is your favorite? Come to the Mainstage and decide!

Pop-up MakerSpace

The City’s first Pop-up MakerSpace is where creativity and invention rule, where inventors, designers, and tinkerers converge. Gaithersburg and its environs are home to many independent makers and organizations that cater to the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) movement. As visitors step off the free shuttle they’ll encounter activities, demos and exhibits that showcase the work of passionate makers. Most activities are appropriate for children (5 and up), teens and adults.

Taste of Gaithersburg

Saunter down Summit Avenue to enjoy a variety of dishes from local restaurants. Festival Partner, Dogfish Head, features a selection of beers that complement cuisines from around the world.

Restaurants will conduct CASH SALES from their booths. Taste a small bite for $1 or purchase an entire meal. Prices range from $1 – $9.

Celebrate! Gaithersburg in Olde Towne street festival takes place in and around the intersection of Summit and Diamond Avenues.

Free shuttle service is available to and from satellite parking at Lakeforest Shopping Center. Additional parking is available at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, less than a quarter mile from the festival area.
