Historical Fiction for the 21st-Century

Presented by The Writer's Center at The Writer's Center

Historical Fiction for the 21st-Century -- The rebirth of historical fiction has opened up exciting opportunities for fiction writers. Is your story set in ancient Rome, during the American Civil War, or in more recent history? (The 1960's, for instance.) Write for young readers, teens, or adults--everyone loves historical adventures. Weave in a love story, paranormal elements, Game of Thrones deceptions, sea battles, fantasy or realism--you have unlimited options. Students in this one-day course will learn how to weave historical details into their stories and bring the past to life for their readers. Come join us for coffee, pastries, and a dynamic discussion!
