The City of Gaithersburg and The Seven Palettes present a group art exhibit at the Kentlands Mansion from June 17 through September 5, 2016. The artists reception will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The Seven Palettes is a group of seven women who have joined together for the purpose of increasing their immersion in art. Individually they were all doing well, but found that in working together, they could pool their resources and accomplish more, plus support each other and have more fun. They are honest with each other about aspirations, about the foolishness of some ”rules,” and about their artwork. The group has been working cooperatively since 2012 on activities such as joint workshops and group exhibits, individual and collective websites, and group painting expeditions, near and far.
The Seven Palettes include Sara Becker, Nancy Butler, Helen Gallagher, Caroline Orrick, Ann Rossilli, Penny Smith and Maureen Ward.
