Event Description:

Jill Tanenbaum, Fused Glass
The transformation of sand mixed with chemicals produces glass that is used to create beautiful objects that captures the dance of light like no other medium. Glass and light has been a complimentary pair for centuries. The purity of glass allows it to handle light in a functional yet visually stunning way. Jill enjoys incorporating a variety of techniques into glass making and loves experimenting with a variety of techniques in her work.
Ronnie Spiewak, Collage
Ronnie is a collage artist and has been working in this medium for many years. She is interested in debris and the organic qualities of nature such as twigs, leaves or fallen plant matter. Her collage shapes are a metaphor of all of these things.
Kate Radi, Photography
“Kate’s restrained and clean aesthetic focuses on the truest and most basic element of her subject matter. In a world of digital manipulation and high tech obsession, Kate’s work is a return to calm, focused observation of places, spaces and the natural beauty found around us. Resulting in uncommonly stirring and sometimes haunting photographs, Kate’s images are engaging yet soothing.”
Wanjin Kim, Metal Sculpture
Wanjin wants to make this world beautiful through the natural beauty of her sculptures to save people from the stresses and anxieties of the modern life.
Cris Ianculescu, Sculpture
Cris explores the archetypal building blocks of the human form, the minimal set of surfaces that convey the elegance, power, and presence of the human body. Cris uses high-fire clay and stone to reflect the enduring fascination with the beauty and imperfection of our own image.
