The best kind of kids’ music doesn’t sound like kids’ music at all. It just sounds like music: authentic, unadulterated, and full of joy. This is where Grammy winner Dan Zanes excels. Zanes is a celebrated songwriter, songfinder, and entertainer. Inspired by the Lead Belly records he listened to as a child, Zanes mixes old and new songs from a variety of traditions into an artful homespun sound he compares to “a pile of driftwood and bent nails.” Every Dan Zanes show is a party in which families and friends sing with gusto (and dance!) together. There are 2 available parking garages at AMP, including a new one on Trade Street. Valet parking will also be available for a $5 fee. The Old Georgetown Road Garage, located at 11580 Old Georgetown Road, North Bethesda, MD 20852, is directly beneath AMP. The best way to enter the garage is by making a right turn directly into the garage from westbound Old Georgetown Road (between Grand Park Avenue and Executive Blvd). Follow the signs to the AMP elevator and go directly to level 4. The new Trade Street Garage is located at 11860 Trade Street, North Bethesda, MD 20852, right across from AMP and adjacent to the Per Sei apartments. Both are very convenient to the venue.
